The MEP Designer will work on the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems within BIM environments for various building projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed MEP layouts, creating and updating 3D models, preparing technical drawings and documentation, and performing clash detection and resolution in coordination with project stakeholders. The role involves collaborating remotely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and compliant with relevant codes and standards. The MEP Designer will also support design optimization, participate in design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of modeling and documentation workflows. This is a remote contract role.

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills for developing and evaluating MEP systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating precise plans, sections, and 3D models.
• Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills to investigate design options, new technologies, and best practices for MEP solutions.
• Experience with BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and MEP modeling workflows is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry regulations related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a distributed, remote project team.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience in MEP design.
